A part of growing up and getting into sex is finding out what you like, who you want to have sex with and who you fall in love with. It is normal to experience really strong, powerful feelings. All of this can make life feel complicated and confusing. Maybe you’ve experienced falling in love with your best friend or you kissed someone of the same sex as you?
For many young people, fancying someone of the same sex is a part of exploring their sexuality. Don’t worry about what other people think, enjoy and explore at your own pace.
If you find yourself feeling attracted to the same sex strongly for a long time it might be you’re bisexual or homosexual. Others grow up just knowing they don’t fancy the opposite sex. There’s no hurry in putting yourself into a category, you should give yourself time if you think you need it. Remember that around 1 in 10 people are gay and there’s plenty of info and support around. You are not alone.
